Generation System Performance
Generation System Performance
The Generation System Availability and the Generation System Forced Outage Rate are updated once a month. These values only related to Centrally Dispatched Generation Units (CDGU). The Generation System Availability values and the Generation System Forced Outage Rate for the past 3 years and this year to date are available below, along with a brief explanation of each.
1. System Generation Availability
This is calculated on a rolling 365-day basis. For example, the Generation System Availability for day 365 of 2011 is equal to the sum of the daily availability for day 365 plus the preceding 364 days divided by 365. The daily availability for each day is calculated as the sum of available centrally dispatched generation units divided by the total installed capacity of the centrally dispatched generation units.
2 . System Generation Forced Outage Rate
The Generation System Forced Outage Rate is also calculated on a 365-day rolling basis and is calculated as the sum of the daily forced outage rates for the previous 365 days divided by 365. The daily forced outage rate is calculated as the sum of the forced outages experienced by the centrally dispatched generation units during that day divided by the total installed capacity of the centrally dispatched generation units.
