EirGrid

Partnerships

We work with a variety of partners to support communities and initiatives across the country.

Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA)

Since 2015 EirGrid has been powering forward with Ireland's largest sporting organisation, the GAA. The GAA reaches communities large and small around the island of Ireland. EirGrid is the Official Timing Partner of the GAA Championships. We are also title sponsor of the GAA Under 20 Football Championships. Both organisations work to see Ireland thrive, with a strong ethos of community engagement.

Young Social Innovators (YSI)

'Transforming the energy system for future generations' is the purpose behind our work. This makes being Climate Action and Energy partner to YSI a natural fit. YSI has a track record in engaging and giving voice to the next generation. The partnership gives a platform to important initiatives already underway in this area.

Renewable Grid Initiative (RGI)

RGI is a unique collaboration of non-governmental organisations and electricity grid operators from across Europe. RGI promotes fair, transparent, sustainable grid development. This enables the growth of renewable energy so we can achieve full decarbonisation. RGI facilitates cooperation between its members to work together on better processes.

Friends of the Earth campaigns for climate justice and sustainability. They promote a rapid and just transition to a community centred, zero-carbon energy system. Friends of the Earth aims for everyone to be considered and included in the conversation. They particularly focus on marginalised and disadvantaged groups who might be affected by policy.
